Job Description

Job Purpose 

To assist in the administration of postgraduate programmes and other related activities of the Graduate Studies’ Office. 

Duties & Responsibilities

The candidate will be part of the Graduate Studies’ administration team, and will provide support in the following areas:

  • Administration of postgraduate coursework programme.
  • Manage the full spectrum of coursework programme application processing, admissions and student registration related matters.
  • Work closely with admission committees to ensure timely completion of the admission cycles for each academic year/semester.
  • Handle applicants’ enquiries pertaining to postgraduate programme admissions or related programme matters.
  • Assist in student feedback, examinations and student discipline related matters.
  • Assist in programme outreach matters.
  • Consolidation and preparation of data and statistics, and drafting of reports or proposals, etc.
  • Partake in streamlining the current application processes and systems to improve the efficiency of the admissions procedures.
  • Assist in any other graduate educational activities assigned such as exam invigilation, outreach or adhoc events, etc.  

Qualifications

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree or polytechnic diploma, preferably with some relevant administrative work experience.
  • Possess positive attitude and able to multi-task.
  • A good team player who is self-motivated and well-organized with the ability to work well under pressure as well as tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate initiative with good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
