職務内容

CONTRACTS MANAGER

Reporting to the Planning Manager, he/she will be working closely with the team to provide support to the project sites in commercial and contractual aspects, managing any commercial and contractual risk relating to the projects and employ mitigation actions as quickly and effectively as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Support and advise the project team on cost and contractual issues for main contract and subcontracts
  • Liaise with Project Team members to ensure commitments and milestones of subcontracts are achieved and adhered to
  • Analyses all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain the project variation control system and managing negotiations in line with contract requirements.
  • Identify and serve notices (Variation, Additional Payment and Delays) to the Engineer/ED/ER and follow up with necessary cost and time claim; including drafting letters on contract matters/issues
  • Preparation of VO submissions & final accounts
  • Monitor and ensure timely submission of variations claim and receive of valuation certificate
  • Manage and prepare all contract documentation and schedules, as well as providing support in the estimation of project costs, preparation of specifications, bills of quantities and other tender requirements
  • Review evaluation of variation order request, variation orders, defending claims and providing contractual advice to site team
  • Monitoring contracts and negotiation of final account settlement, drafting settlement agreement, claims for additional payment and EOT
  • Ensure commercial and contractual correspondence with clients are efficiently handled and filed
  • Manage resolution of contractual claims of a wide variety of projects from pre-tender to post-contract stages

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Civil Engineering or related fields
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience with at least 5 years in similar capacity in main contractor and preferably in LTA construction projects
  • Experience in Commercial / Mixed Development Projects highly advantageous
  • Sound knowledge in Contract Negotiation and Administration
  • Possesses leadership skills to manage internal and external stakeholders, thinks strategically and critically, exercising judgement after consideration for all aspects
  • Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A high level of integrity, dependability with a strong sense of urgency and result oriented
