職務内容

Job Purpose

SMBC focus on strengthening Risk & Governance and appropriately managing each business, in line with the sophistication of ALM and expansion of Sales & Trading business in APAC. The coverage area for this position extends not only Singapore but also to Bangkok (Thailand), Sydney (Australia), Mumbai and New Delhi (India), Taipei (Taiwan), Seoul (South Korea) and Malaysia. It is also important to maintain close communication with the HO in Japan and formulate strategies that are in line with company-wide strategies. This position will be a senior officer which in charge of formulating business promotion strategies and controlling associated risks. This position also shall require communication, discussion and reporting in English and Japanese. 

Job Responsibilities

  • To analyze and capture on treasury performance and market and liquidity risk
  • To oversee trading activities in Singapore and potentially other locations in APAC, including FX, fixed income and derivatives trading
  • To implement business plan to develop treasury capabilities
  • To manage budget control, general affairs business as usual compliance, and progress of business
  • To identify and manage risks associated with the bank’s treasury and global markets trading activities
  • To ensure regulatory compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • To develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor or more degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Engineering or a related field 
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations in major jurisdictions include Japan and Singapore
  • 5+ years of experience in treasury or trading on global markets products
  • Proficiency in Japanese language is preferred for regular communication with the head office in Japan as the reports and presentation will need to in Japanese
  • Project leading, coaching and training skill and experience
