About the Role

Capgemini Singapore is seeking a Cloudera Administrator with 1 to 6 years experience to support large scale enterprise data platforms within our Banking and Financial Services client environment. This role supports critical systems on a 24 by 7 basis through a rotational shift model. Shift allowance is provided. Experience in the banking domain is highly valued due to regulatory, security, and operational requirements.

We also welcome candidates who do not have direct Cloudera experience but have strong background in Hadoop ecosystem administration, including HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, and cluster operations. Candidates with Big Data Platform Administration or Linux based distributed systems experience are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and monitor Cloudera Hadoop clusters and related platform components
• Maintain stability, performance, and capacity of enterprise data platforms supporting mission critical BFSI workloads
• Perform cluster tuning, resource optimization, security hardening, and backup and recovery operations
• Troubleshoot incidents across platform, infrastructure, and application layers with strict adherence to BFSI service levels
• Manage core components such as Cloudera Manager, HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, Oozie, Hue, Ranger, and Sentry
• Implement upgrades, patches, and configuration changes following bank grade governance processes
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, security, and data teams across distributed environments
• Support critical systems on a 24 by 7 rotational shift
• Maintain accurate documentation, operational runbooks, and configuration standards
• Ensure compliance with financial industry security, audit, and regulatory requirements

Required Skills and Experience

• 1 to 6 years experience as a Cloudera Administrator or Hadoop Administrator
• Strong knowledge of Linux based systems and distributed platform administration
• Experience with core Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, Oozie, and Ranger
• Understanding of cluster architecture, performance tuning, and capacity planning
• Proficiency in Shell or Python scripting
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization frameworks such as Kerberos and LDAP
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and incident management skills
• Ability to work rotational shifts supporting 24 by 7 operations
