Role & Responsibilities:

  • Perform jet fuel supply and trading activities within delegated authorities to maximize P&L, including but not limited to: 1) Physical jet fuel trading; 2) Jet fuel derivatives and hedging activities.
  • Execute derivatives trading and hedging strategies, manage price exposure, and optimize both jet fuel trading book performance and enterprise value. Formulate and implement short, medium, and long-term strategies across physical and derivatives markets.
  • Collaborate with global jet fuel trading teams to align regional activities with subsidiaries in the US and Europe, and drive cross-regional arbitrage opportunities. Ideal candidates will have experience in jet fuel or refined product arbitrage trading.
  • Undertake other assignments as required, including trading-related project support and business travel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of trading experience (physical and derivatives) in the jet fuel market, with strong understanding of regional and arbitrage flows, market fundamentals, risk management, and operations/logistics.
  • Hands-on, execution-driven mindset with ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and adapt quickly to changes.
  • Strong ethics, professionalism, sense of responsibility, and team spirit.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, and good stress tolerance.
  • Effective bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin, as the role requires frequent verbal and written communication with English- and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
