Backend Development Engineer (Digital Systems)

Key Responsibilities

Backend System Development

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting digital applications.

• Implement scalable server-side logic to support web and mobile platforms.

• Develop high-performance and secure backend architecture.

System Integration

• Integrate backend services with internal and external systems through APIs and microservices.

• Ensure smooth communication between application layers and databases.

Database Management

• Design and manage database schemas and optimize query performance.

• Maintain data integrity, security, and efficient storage structures.

Performance Optimization

• Monitor backend performance and troubleshoot system issues.

• Optimize application response times and improve system reliability.

Code Quality & Development Practices

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards across development teams.

Collaboration

• Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and system architects.

• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

3–5 years of experience in backend software development.

Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.

Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

Strong knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).

Experience with Git version control and modern development workflows.

Familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed systems.n systems or secure data environments.
