HSE Engineer

Job Description

• Lead and review risk assessments (RA), job hazard analysis (JHA), and permit to work approvals for high-risk shipyard activities
• Drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions, ensuring closure of audit and inspection findings
• Conduct and oversee comprehensive shipyard inspections, including confined space entry, working at height, scaffolding, hot work, lifting operations, and dry dock activities
• Chair or actively lead safety meetings, contractor coordination meetings, and safety committee discussions
• Liaise with contractors, class surveyors, external auditors, MOM/SCDF regulators, and other shipyard stakeholders on HSE matters
• Conduct advanced safety training, including emergency response, confined space entry, and hazardous atmosphere management
• Lead investigations of accidents, dangerous occurrences, and occupational diseases, perform root-caused analysis, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.

Job Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in HSE or relevant discipline
• Proficient in MS office
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and regulatory compliance, in line with Singapore WSH standards
• Training provided for entry level HSE roles
• Willingness to work in outdoor environment
