We are looking for a Project Officer for analysis of plant genomics data

Key Responsibilities:

• Genome assembly from long-read sequencing data

• De novo gene and repeat annotation of genome assemblies

• Computational analysis of transcriptomics and metabolomics data

• Manuscript preparation

• DNA and RNA extraction using existing kits

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s (for PO and Research Assistant equivalent) degree in biological sciences or related field.

• At least 3 months of relevant experience (equivalent to a final year project) in genomic data analysis

• Familiarity with Linux server environment and skills in Bash and R scripting

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Competent in soft skills / general personality traits e.g. information visualization, interaction design

• Ability to work independently and develop solutions under strict timelines
