Research Associate (Geotechnical Engineering/ Environmental Engineering)

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. It has over 60 faculty members and more than 1,500 students and is rapidly expanding its range of education and research activities. We are looking for a Research Associate to conduct life-cycle assessment on solid waste treatment and management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct experimental investigations on coastal and riverine solid waste systems, including characterization of material properties, contaminant release, and system behavior.

• Develop and apply mechanistic and data-driven models, integrated with life-cycle assessment (LCA) to quantify system performance, environmental impacts, and climate resilience.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field

• At least 1 year of relevant experiences in life-cycle assessment

• Familiarity with related literature and software

• Good written and oral communication skills
