Research Fellow (Civil Engineering)

A 6-month Research Fellow position is available in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Major responsibility of this position involves conducting laboratory tests on cementitious materials, as well as writing project reports and scientific papers. Additionally, the appointee will assist the PI in writing research proposals and supervising students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory testing and numerical modelling of rock and concrete materials

• Prepare and deliver comprehensive project reports

• Develop and publish scientific research papers

• Supervise and mentor research students

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in Civil Engineering

• Research experience in laboratory tests and numerical modelling on rock and concrete materials

• Strong publication record in reputable journals (published more than 3 journal papers) 

• Good English writing and communication skills - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders

• Demonstrated experience in supervising research students and writing research proposals

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong initiatives
