Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Asst. Prof. QIU Yunyan on polymeric materials design and synthesis using organic frameworks under a project on "Constructing precise mechanically interlocked polymers for highly dynamic and functional materials".

The main responsibilities of the position include:
•    Developing new metal-organic or covalent organic frameworks for controlled synthesis of mechanically interlocked polymers;
•    Identifying suitable monomers for controlled polymerization reactions;
•    The synthesis and characterizations of functional polymers with control over their molecular weights and dispersities.

Qualifications / Discipline:
•    Doctoral degree in Polymer Chemistry or Organic Chemistry

Skills:
•    Synthesis of covalent organic frameworks 
•    The design and controlled synthesis of polymeric materials
•    Metal catalysed polymerization reactions
•    Polymer characterizations
•    Device fabrication

Experience:  
•    Extensive experiences in the design and synthesis of organic frameworks, polymers and their structural characterizations
