Middleware Engineer

Role: Middleware Engineer
Duration: 12 Months (renewable)
Location: Singapore

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical SME for file-transfer and message-stream solutions (e.g., IBM Connect Direct, IBM MQ).
• Provide expertise in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis.
• Implement and deploy middleware on Linux and Windows systems.
• Ensure the implementation of service continuity measures, including high-availability (HA) procedures and Disaster Recovery plans.

Essential:

• Build a seamless File-Transfer-as-a-Service and Message-Streaming capability on the Private Cloud platform.
• Automate middleware deployment processes.
• Participate in projects and provide middleware support to application teams

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• At least 6 years’ relevant experience preferably in a Finance Institution.

Essential:

• Build a seamless File-Transfer-as-a-Service and Message-Streaming capability on the Private Cloud platform.
• Automate middleware deployment processes.
• Participate in projects and provide middleware support to application teams.

Key Domain/ Technical Skills:

• IBM Connect Direct and IBM MQ
• Linux and Windows system administration
• Windows PowerShell and RHEL shell scripting

Good to have

• Kafka
• CI/CD pipelines
• Bitbucket
• Jenkins
