What you’ll do

What you do here will impact the world. The Airwallex Cloud Infra team is a group of highly skilled, innovative, and collaborative professionals dedicated to creating and maintaining a cutting-edge, secure, and scalable infrastructure that supports our cross-border payment solutions. 

The team brings together experts in Kubernetes, service mesh, cloud platforms, and core services, all working seamlessly to ensure the highest levels of performance, reliability, and security.  The Cloud Infrastructure team is pivotal to Airwallex's mission to empower businesses worldwide by providing a robust and efficient financial technology platform.

This role is based in Singapore.

Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years in modern engineering practices focused on Developer Tools, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, Productivity, Continuous Integration, and Quality Engineering.
• Previous experience in people management, with experience managing managers being a must
• Strong computer science fundamentals, with proficiency in Java or Kotlin, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Exposure to high-volume distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with architecture and system design.
• Preferred experience with GCP, but proficiency with AWS (EC2, RDS, ELB, CloudFront), Docker, and Kubernetes is also excellent.
• Experience managing a global team
• Previous experience in FinTech/Payments is advantageous
