Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Continuous monitor and assess external legal and compliance environment update, including the changes of legal & compliance policies, macro-control policies, and economic sanctions where the Company has its operations. Timely provide the assessment and recommendations to Company’s Management and business department especially the legal & compliance issues which have a significant impact on the company’s interests;
2. Provide assessment and recommendations to business department on sanctions, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism financing, and formulate systematic procedures to the management for their approval;
3. Carry out legal and compliance training, create employees' awareness of compliance risks, and promote the compliance culture;
4. Assist in the policies preparation of the Legal and Compliance department as well as other compliance-related policies as required by parent company (such as to assist in the coordinationof tasks completion based on specific circumstances).
5. Assess and reviews the compliance of existing businesses, new projects or business activities, and analyse the impact of such activities on the Company. Provide suggestions and formulate improvements if required;
6. Carry out special compliance investigation with the instructions by management needs;
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Compliance/ Business/ Law/ related field or equivalent;
2. Min. 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in similar capacity;
3. Excellent people skills and enjoy developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders;
4. Strong attention to details and effective analytical skills with ability to understand complex information and apply logical reasoning and assessment;
5. Good ethics and professional conduct, and with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit;
6. Good organisational and time management skills and stress tolerance with proven ability to manage multiple priorities;
7. Excellent command of English and Chinese languages (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking stakeholders verbally/in writing as well as to prepare and proof-read English/Chinese official documents and presentations whenever appropriate).
