Job Description Summary

The Sales Specialist works with the Lead Salesperson to meet agreed sales and revenue targets. The Sales Specialist will generate detailed client / product knowledge, market knowledge and cultivate client relationships in order to generate sales opportunities. The Sales Specialist will work to develop deep understanding of the client need / product detail and Bank’s capabilities with the aim of meeting client satisfaction expectations. The Sales Specialist will be conversant relevant legal, regulatory and Bank policy requirements and operate accordingly. Together with the Lead Salesperson ensure liaison with existing clients. Researching and fostering new client opportunities. Building the necessary working relationships with origination, trading, research, client services, and operations staff – if applicable &to the degree that is commensurate with the business area - to ensure effective end to end client / product delivery.

Details of the Division and Team:

The Sales Specialist will generate detailed client / product knowledge, market knowledge and originate new client relationships with German Mid-Cap subsidiaries in APAC region to increase the wallet share of DB with these clients. The Sales Specialist will work to develop deep understanding of the client need / product detail and Bank’s capabilities with the aim of meeting client satisfaction expectations. The Sales Specialist will be conversant in relevant legal, regulatory and Bank policy requirements and operate accordingly. Together with the Lead Salesperson The Sales specialist will ensure liaison with existing clients to deep sell across the entire spectrum of DB product offerings. The Sales Specialist will build the necessary working relationships with origination, trading, research, client services, and operations staff – if applicable & to the degree that is commensurate with the business area - to ensure effective end to end client / product delivery.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Ensure close cooperation with the Global Relationship Manager (GRM) to originate new German mid-cap relationships in APAC region.
  • Regular marketing visits and calls with existing clients and prospects to understand needs and identify opportunities
  • Proactively identify for cross-sell opportunities in line with the bank´s strategy
  • Establish and maintain ‘Know Your Client’ profiles and other required client information in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures
  • Active follow up on call reports and ensure business opportunities are appropriately logged in relevant client management tools.
  • Help build and maintain RTM Coverage profile in the organization through active networking and support.

Your skills and experience:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the Corporate Banking segment.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in corporate banking products including, but not limited to global and capital markets products, Trade Finance and Cash Management.
  • Possesses a good understanding of the German midcap corporate client landscape and their banking requirements.
  • Proficiency in German language is required as this role focuses on the acquisition of new German clientele in APAC and will have to engage with Senior client stakeholders who are German speaking.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior management confidently and knowledgeably.
  • Solid accounting , financial, and credit analysis skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
