NIE invites suitable applications for the position of Senior Executive (Grants & Procurement) with the Centre for Education Solutions and Engagement (ESE). ESE plays an integral role in spearheading NIE’s engagement with MOE, schools, industry partners and IHLs, developing scalable, collaborative education solutions, and translating industry practices and innovation into NIE and school contexts. This is a 3-year contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for NIE’s teaching and learning grants (I3G and ITLK) by coordinating and liaising with Project Innovators on procurement, admin matters and ITQ specifications according to NIE Finance and Human Resource policies and guidelines.

  • Assist with project account creation and administer project requests for NTU’s teaching and learning grants (EdeX, EdeX FLC and COIL) via NTU’s Research Information SystEm (RISE).

  • Manage project database and repository to ensure regular, timely updates and tracking of all key project-related information (e.g., project approval, closure, progress reporting, project variation).

  • Manage the fixed assets and inventory records for procured assets using the NIE Centralised Asset Management System (CAMS).

  • Provide general administrative support such as fund tracking to ensure accurate expenditure updates of institute-funded projects.

  • Administer procurement processes using the SAP Ariba and General Claims System.

  • Draft guidelines and standard operating procedures of grant-related processes (e.g., application, procurement, project variation).

  • Propose innovative solutions to enhance the operational effectiveness of fund tracking and disbursements by tapping on productivity suites.


Requirements

  •  A Polytechnic Diploma in Accountancy, Data Management or equivalent.

  • At least 2 years of working experience in grant administration and procurement.

  • Organised, meticulous in handling data and a service-oriented mindset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel)

  • Self-driven, organised, and able to work independently.

  • Collaborative team player who works well across units and functions.

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt, with problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in SAP Ariba and RISE will be an advantage.
