Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Design the manufacturing automation strategy that matches regional characteristics reflecting Japan HQ’s policy for Panasonic manufacturing sites located in APAC and ISAMEA region
• Promote automation assessment to diagnose the level of automation at manufacturing sites, plan the desired condition and drop into detailed action items to provide optimal automation solutions suited for each manufacturing sites.
• Lead the team to draw out the competitive automation concept, and be able to train members to actually design and implement the automation solution to the designated manufacturing site being punctual to the schedule assigned from the customers.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to build the cost competitive machine design.
• Negotiate the budget with Japan HQ and make the agreement of activities’ direction.
• Allocate resources and expenses and proceed administration duties.
• As the manager of automation solution group, develop the members’ skills and establish core competence to strengthen the organization which can make a substantial contribution toward automation.
• Draw long term roadmap which stretches our activities from internal to external companies to expand our business sales.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate.
• Strong leadership to drive automation roadmap utilizing recent technology to match APAC region manufacturing difficulties.
• Candidate must have over 10 years’ experience of machine engineering skills in both mechanical and control fields, and abundant knowledge about lean manufacturing method.
• Have abundant knowledge about recent IoT trends and being involved in Smart manufacturing construction in manufacturing sites.
• Have good communication skills to collaborate with internal departments and external partners
• Proficient in Japanese in order to corporate with related party, required to have at least JLPT N1 level as the role required to communicate with Japan HQ and Japanese MDs in APAC and ISAMEA region
• Familiar with Japanese Firm operations
