Operations Engineer - Contract

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Operations Engineer to join our infrastructure team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our production systems, databases, and distributed platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Handle daily maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of servers and applications.

2. Manage and optimize Linux systems, including log analysis and basic security hardening.

3. Maintain and operate databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

4. Deploy, manage, and configure Kubernetes clusters and related resources.

5. Install and maintain Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, HBase, Hive, YARN).

6. Deploy and maintain middleware services including Kafka, Elasticsearch, Zookeeper, and Nginx.

7. Write documentation and automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience in system operations or related roles.

• Strong proficiency in Linux and basic networking fundamentals.

• Hands-on experience with MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

• Proficient with Kubernetes and familiar with key resource objects and configurations.

• Familiar with maintaining Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, HBase, Hive, YARN).

• Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Zookeeper, and Nginx.

• Good communication skills and strong sense of responsibility.
