Principal ICA Engineer (Instrumentation, Control and Automation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Produce design layouts which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
• Ensure that standard practices are utilized wherever possible.
• Provide estimates and feedback for proposals department.
• Assist in developing procedures and processes
• Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department.
• Monitor and review the procedures and processes.
• Write, update and monitor efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of the department.
• Ensure co-ordination of designs with all other disciplines internal and external to ensure that the design processes carried out on the contract are co-ordinated for the benefit of the contract as a whole.
• Ensure designs take account of environmental issues .
• Ensure that design takes full regard of all health and safety requirements.
• Support and help resolve any site technical difficulties & other problems that may arise

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant.
• Candidate shall have about of 8 years experience in instrumentation, control and automation design works, preferably with contractor experience.
• Experience working on waste-to-energy projects will be an advantage.
• Ability to rationalize designs and produce economic plant layouts.
• Ability to present technical proposals clearly, confidently and convincingly.
• Able to work independently in producing the project deliverables to meet project timeline.
• Proficient in written and oral communication with good interpersonal skills.
