Job overview:
Be an advisor and a subject matter resource for reputation, quality and risk management matters, and provide sound, practical and timely advice to T&L personnel in Singapore and other geographies within Southeast Asia as required.
Key responsibilities includes:
1. Work with Singapore T&L Leader, Southeast Asia (SEA) T&L Quality & Risk Leader and Team to execute quality and risk plan and strategies, and where required, execution of SEA and Asia Pacific quality and risk initiatives;
2. Develop and foster a consultation network and intelligent risk culture within the T&L practice in Singapore and SEA;
3. Assist to develop policy, processes, tools and templates to enable T&L professionals in Singapore and SEA to work efficiently and effectively to deliver client engagements while maintaining compliance with reputation and risk management policies, as well as legal and regulatory requirements;
4. Provide consultation on queries raised by Singapore and SEA T&L personnel both as lead team and as team members;
5. Review legal documents on daily basis such as contracts, NDA, engagement letters, bidding documents, as well as communicate with clients’ legal team and manage arising contractual risks;
6. Review client and engagement acceptance and risk assessment process on daily basis;
7. Conducting internal practice review, inflight reviews, spot checks on T&L personnel compliance to the internal policies.
8. Tracking and monitoring of T&L personnel compliance to Firm’s policies, evaluate non-compliances under disciplinary policies and issuing warning letters;
9. Deliver risk management learning programs to all T&L professionals;
10. Develop, coach and mentor Quality & Risk team members in Singapore and other team members in Southeast Asia.
11. Other tasks where required, to support the T&L quality and risk program.
Qualifications of Candidates
1. A graduate in Bachelor Degree with a minimum GPA of 3, preferably majoring in Law.
2. At least 5 years of professional service experience with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
3. Knowledge and experience in digitalization and technology, would be an added advantage.
4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
5. A people-person who enjoys engaging with people and building professional relationship
6. Excels at active listening and engaging in meaningful conversations and have problem-solving mindset.
7. Proven capacity to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively to achieve mutually beneficial outcome.
8. Able to work under pressure, multi-tasking and can manage tight deadlines.
9. Demonstrate strong attention to details.
10. Ability to work and collaborate with teams across different businesses, geographies and in a cohesive team environment.
11. Able to travel overseas when required.
