CB IB Operations (CBIB Ops) & Controls is a critical component of Deutsche Bank, responsible for strategy setting, resource optimization, and operational execution for both the Corporate Bank and Investment Bank. Role description:
The trainee will support the Team in driving digital transformation through automation, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency initiatives. The role involves working closely with Operations partners to identify manual processes, design simple-to-moderate automation solutions, and support ongoing maintenance. The trainee will gain exposure to real-world automation demands, idea evaluation, solution design, and delivery frameworks.
Your Key responsibilities:
- Process Analysis & Discovery - Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone workflows suitable for automation by partnering with Operations teams.
- Document “as-is” processes and propose simplified “to-be” flows aligned with automation principles.
- Automation Solution Development - develop scripts, low‑code applications, or workflow automations (e.g., using Python, VBA, or Power Automate).
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and refinement before deployment and maintenance.
- Collaboration & Governance - Work with operations SMEs to gather requirements, validate use cases, and support testing.
Key skills required:
- Automation Design & Development Skills (Python, Excel VBA, Power Automate, etc)
- Process Mapping & Solution Thinking
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Technical Documentation
- Fresh graduates who have graduated in 2024/2025/2026 from Universities, Polytechnics, Institutes of Technical Education (ITE), or other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024/2025/2026.
- No prior work experience and must be ready to commit to a full-time traineeship
