Safety Engineer / Officer

Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Engineer/Safety Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs to ensure compliance with MOM regulations. You will play a critical role in identifying workplace hazards, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety across all operational departments.

KeyResponsibilities

• Risk Assessment & Hazard Mitigation: Perform regular safety audits, job hazard analyses, and site inspections to identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations strictly adhere to OSHA, ISO, and other relevant industry safety standards and regulations in Singapore.
• Safety Training: Develop and conduct comprehensive safety training programs for employees, including onboarding, equipment handling, and emergency response procedures.
• Incident Investigation: Lead thorough investigations into workplace accidents or "near-miss" incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures to mitigate future risks.
• Program Development: Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Action Plans. Manage and Execute company’s Process Safety Management System.
• Safety Culture Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert, acting as a liaison between management and staff to foster an environment where safety is integrated into every work process.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, with Certified Safety Officer license in Singapore.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Construction or Process Construction field.
• Certifications: Certified Safety Officer in Singapore or relevant qualification recognized by Ministry of Manpower of Singapore.
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of OSHA regulations, risk management methodologies, and root cause analysis (RCA) techniques.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills for training and reporting, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
