Overview*
A Senior Psychologist is responsible for independent and competent delivery of psychological services of higher complexity, for implementation of Department policies, and supervision of junior psychologists.
Job Responsibilities*
You will be responsible for the following:
* Assess and manage patients referred for psychological services (psychotherapy and/or psychological assessments) independently and implement appropriate evidence-based practices.
* Practice within areas of professional competence and seek clinical support from supervisor/other healthcare professionals, when appropriate.
* Accurate and timely communication with all relevant stakeholders
* To take on more complex cases including medico-legal/and or forensic cases requiring specialized knowledge.
* Document patient psychology records accurately and timely.
* Monitor and ensure that the Psychology section consistently meets or exceeds the clinical and service standard/targets.
* To initiate and implement new and specialized psychological services under the guidance of a Principal Psychologist.
* To participate in projects that involve cross-department interface.
* To provide educational programmes to healthcare providers and the public
* To supervise junior psychologists.
* Actively update psychological skills and knowledge.
* Apply conduct, ethics values and relevant legislation to uphold the integrity and reputation of the organisation and the profession.
* Conduct regular self-assessment of own competencies and interactions with others within different systems and take the necessary actions to continuously develop as a professional.
* To partner with academic institutions regarding clinical education for psychologists.
Requirements*
* Master of Psychology. Preferred specializations: Clinical, Child, Health, Educational, Neuropsychology
* Fresh Masters level graduates, with relevant work/ internship experience prior to / during Master’s training
* Clinical skills (Diagnostic, Assessments, Psychotherapy), with adequate hours of supervised practicum to meet registration requirement with the with the Singapore Register of Psychologists, within the first year of work.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Competent in IT skills
