Job Description

The Singapore Population Health Studies (SPHS) is a large scale population-based health research project by the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore. We are looking for a team player capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and who is service-oriented and good at time management. The role primarily involves performing dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scans on research participants within a health screening centre.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Obtain consent from research participants and perform health assessments including anthropometry, blood pressure measurement and ECG.
2. (Upon completion of training) Perform bone densitometry and whole body composition scans on 20 participants per health screening session, keeping to the turnaround time per participant for that procedure.
3. Review images and perform data entry accurately, noting any observation of anomalies.
4. Analyse images and upload to the research database.
5. Perform regular quality control and calibration procedures and maintenance of equipment.
6. Update the inventory of consumables.
7. Ensure the safety and protect the privacy of research participants by adhering to best practices. Reporting of incidents, complaints or adverse events.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in life or health sciences and minimum 2 years of any work experience, or degree in life or health sciences.
  • Full-time work hours are: 7.45am to 6.15pm on Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri; and 7.45am to 3.30pm on alternate Sat.
