Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at the Woodlands site is
responsible for implementing programs and processes that safeguard the health and safety of all employees while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and corporate standards. The team supports the company’s environmental commitments by integrating safe work practices, risk management, and sustainability principles into daily operations. In carrying out these responsibilities, Woodlands EHS operates in alignment with Seagate’s core values of integrity, innovation, and inclusion, ensuring responsible and compliant
operations across the site.
1. Manage all Site environment, health & safety (EHS) related matters – Scorecards, incident, Risk, audit, regulatory and Emergency Response management:
- Organize and administer programs and procedures to ensure compliance with both regulations and Corporate/Site Standard Operating Procedures.
- Conduct internal audits of environmental and safety compliance to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Interact within various site departments to continuously integrate EHS within the organization.
- Work with process engineers and senior management to execute site specific pollution reduction metrics.
- Plan, organize and execute emergency evacuation drill for Woodland site as Fire Safety Manager.
- Perform periodic review of legal updates from authority & ensure compliance to updates.
2. Implement Global programs on site – Chemical, Contractor, PPE, Waste, Ergonomics, Fire Life and Equipment Safety Management:
- Implement environmental programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Work together with stakeholders to achieve proficiency in various safety and health programs.
- Involve in the development, implementation, and management of Safety (EHS) training.
- Review new processes and modifications for EHS impacts.
- Prepare and participate in Corporate, Regulatory, and ISO EHS Audit Programs.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) or Engineering.
- Possess valid Workplace Safety and Health Officer certification.
- Possess valid Fire Safety Manager certification.
- Able to manage complex projects with multiple vendors and users.
- Team player or/ and leader with good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
- English language proficiency is required, both written and spoken
- Able to influence people for EHS activities and will be responsible for driving EHS behavior in the sites.
Your experience includes:
- Registered with MOM WSHO and SCDF FSM.
- Preferably with experience in MNC.
- Knowledge in ISO14001 and 45001 is an advantage.
- Knowledge in RBA & BCMS is an advantage.
