Infrastructure Backend Engineer

Role Overview

This role is responsible for architecting, implementing, and enhancing cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and cost optimisation. You will leverage cloud-native technologies, automate deployments, and build resilient systems with strong high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using third-party or native cloud tools to support automated deployments.
• Monitor, analyse, and troubleshoot cloud environments to maintain performance, scalability, and system reliability.
• Apply security best practices by managing IAM policies, encryption mechanisms, and network security controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Configure and optimise cloud networking, including traffic routing and connectivity across environments.

Requirements

• Singapore Citizen only
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, with a solid understanding of infrastructure automation.
• Good knowledge of networking concepts, cloud security practices, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting cloud environments to ensure high availability and scalability.
