Visiting Professor

The S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), a Graduate School of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), is a leading research-intensive and teaching institution in strategic and international affairs and policy-oriented think tank in the Asia-Pacific region.

The S.Rajaratnam Professorship in Strategic Studies at RSIS was inaugurated on 31 August 1998 to enable the School to invite distinguished scholars in strategic studies and related fields to participate in its activities. The professorship was established in honour of Mr Sinnathamby Rajaratnam, one of the pioneer leaders, for his distinguished services to the nation.

Requirements:

• Teach the RSIS MSc Course SR6047: Military alliances & security cooperation
• Advise MSc students, as necessary;   
• Give a Distinguished Public Lecture (on a topic to be determined) as the S. Rajaratnam Professor for Strategic Studies;
• Write at least two commentaries.

RSIS will provide an honorarium and other related fringe benefits to the selected scholar in assuming the professorship.
