Lead / IT Architect (Data Architect)

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and governing enterprise-scale data platform architectures while providing technical leadership in complex projects. This role drives system-level design, ensures architectural integrity across the software development lifecycle, and formulates scalable data migration and governance strategies using modern technologies such as GenAI and Agentic AI. The Data Architect also ensures that solutions are secure, reliable, and aligned with business and technical requirements.
 

What will you do?

Architecture & Solution Design

• Define system-level application architecture including design principles, policies, and controls

• Develop technical design specifications and implementation strategies

• Formulate scalable data migration approaches and governance strategies using modern technologies

• Ensure system design and development methodologies meet functional and system requirements

• Apply best practices, frameworks, and reusable components in project implementations

Technical Leadership & Delivery Oversight

• Provide technical leadership for highly complex projects involving modern technologies such as GenAI and Agentic AI

• Maintain architectural control across the entire software development lifecycle

• Make architectural adjustments when necessary to ensure successful outcomes

• Estimate implementation effort and define sound implementation strategies

• Troubleshoot complex technical problems faced by project teams

Stakeholder Engagement & Technical Advisory

• Participate in requirement analysis to validate technical feasibility

• Identify requirement gaps, technical challenges, and effort concerns while recommending viable solutions

• Engage customers and stakeholders to explain architecture decisions and resolve technical issues

Engineering Practices & Governance

• Establish programming guidelines, integration strategies, configuration controls, and risk mitigation approaches

• Ensure scalable, secure, and reliable architecture standards are followed across projects

• Support DevOps and MLOps aligned development practices within data platform environments

Knowledge Leadership & Community Contribution

• Coach, train, and mentor other Architects

• Share technology knowledge through Communities of Practice or internal forums

• Package and deliver advanced technical courses

• Contribute to internal knowledge repositories with lessons learned

• Participate in pre-sales solutioning and review technical proposals

• Represent the organization as a speaker or panelist at IT-related seminars or trade events
   

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Experience in developing and deploying complex, scalable production applications on Cloud or PaaS platforms and Containers
• Working knowledge of DevOps software development tools and MLOps methodologies
• Broad and deep knowledge of current IT technologies
• Proficiency in solutioning with Cloudera, Oracle, Talend, and Qlik technologies
• Minimum 8 years of experience in technical roles applying architectural principles and design
• Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build trusted relationships
• Self-motivated with a positive “can-do” attitude and creativity
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
• Able to clear government clearance
