Description

Responsibilities:

  • To provide monthly reports to senior management on all workplace safety and health (WSH) matters.
  • To develop, review, and reinforce the implementation of WSH plans, risk assessments, programmes (e.g. meetings, tabletop exercises, ad-hoc inspections, training, WSH promotions, and awareness initiatives), and emergency plans to continually improve WSH performance for the Town Council.
  • To ensure the safety of all personnel through compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, other applicable legislation, and contractual WSH requirements.
  • To organise and conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and training sessions for Town Council staff and contractors.
  • To conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • To lead, investigate, and report on accidents, near misses, and injuries to senior management and the Town Council.
  • To liaise with relevant authorities (e.g. MOM, NEA) on all matters relating to workplace safety and health.

Requirements:

  • Approved university degree in Workplace Safety and Health or other approved WSQ specialist diploma in Workplace Safety and Health with at least three (3) years’ relevant experience
