Principal Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Works with Solution Architect & Business Analysts on end-to-end solution, evaluate and develop high-quality data solutions.
• Works with non-technical, subject matter experts to understand underlying data behavior and characteristics in ways that will be new for such non-technical people.
• Works cooperatively with others to resolve data and process issues.
• Uses standard data modeling, data flow, and data documentation tools to analyze, document and present data analysis work.
• Plan & develop ETL, Data preparation/aggregation processes from various sources to MSSQL database/PostgreSQL DB
• Maintain, and optimize ETL and other ETL processes to adapt to changes in needs and requirements.
• Participate in MS SQL code reviews and provide guidance on best practices.
• Review new database schema changes.
• Familiar with T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, inline SQL, database structures
• Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Monitor code migration and database change management through various stages of the development cycle.
• Design & Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
• Develop, implement, maintain policies and procedures, and document database architecture to ensure security and integrity of the databases.

Requirements:

• 5 to 8 years of T-SQL programming.
• 2 to 3 years of Informatica development experience.
• Experience with migration of Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC.
• Experience with performance tuning of sources, mappings, targets, and sessions.
• Experience with Data Architecture and Data Modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server/PostgreSQL DB.
• Knowledge of git Source Control. and Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines or deployment automation tools.
