Senior SAP Basis Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES

System Administration:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining SAP systems on various platforms (like Linux, Windows)
• Managing user accounts, authorizations, and security protocols
• Performing system backups and recoveries
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting any issues

SAP Basis Operations:

• Applying SAP patches and updates
• Implementing system transports (moving configuration changes between systems)Managing system landscapes (including development, testing, and production environments)
• Automating administrative tasks using scripts

Database Management:

• Administering the SAP database (often using Oracle or DB2)
• Performing database backups, recoveries, and performance optimization

Security:

• Implementing and maintaining SAP security measures
• Auditing user activity and access controls

Project Work:

• Participating in SAP implementation projects
• Supporting other IT teams (development, functional) with SAP Basis related tasks

PROFILE

• Minimum Bachelors Degree with a major in IT/Computer Science/ Engineering
• Minimum of 6 - 7 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with S/4HANA
• Strong understanding of SAP Basis concepts and functionalities
• Experience with SAP operating systems and databases
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Certifications: SAP Basis certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Professional - SAP Basis)
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell scripting)
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
