Senior Technical Manager

The Senior Technical Manager leads technical operations and manages the technical department to deliver engineering and planning services for tender and support, overseeing all data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage permanent and temporary works design and optimize designs by directing appointed consultants to deliver projects within budget
• Coordinate design matters and submissions by liaising with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure compliance and timely approvals
• Oversee shop drawing submissions, plan and control design schedules, and monitor progress to meet project timelines
• Collaborate with construction and other project departments to fulfill design requirements and resolve technical issues
• Address technical queries and submit Requests for Approval/Information (RFA/I) to clarify ambiguous design details with relevant parties
• Review technical specifications and proposals from consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop procurement specifications
• Enforce adherence to workplace safety practices throughout all technical operations
• Build and maintain positive client relationships through effective client-facing skills and strong people orientation
• Develop and deliver clear, targeted communication to diverse audiences to support project objectives
• Lead and motivate teams to achieve high performance and ensure timely, efficient, and effective implementation of project plans.

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university endorsed by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control
• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience delivering large-scale projects

• Experience in data center projects
