Role Purpose

The TDFS team originates and executes strategic transactions for CMA clients. This includes mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions

Overview

This position will focus on origination and execution support for the APAC TMT(Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) sector

Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas

Participate in the full cycle of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal committee memoranda and client presentations
Conduct sophisticated financial analysis and relevant industry research
Development of various types of financial models in relation to debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions
Perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation on live transactions
Work closely with senior bankers and experts from other groups of the bank globally

Major Challenges

To stay up to date on developments in market trends, sector trends, competitor activity.
Ad-hoc requests with imminent deadlines and capturing urgent/emerging issues facing the business.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

The role holder will ideally have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

Demonstrating a keen interest in TMT
Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
Highly skilled at project management; proven success working in a fast-paced environment and delivering against multiple work streams.
Understanding of deal execution – including for IPOs, domestic and cross-border M&A, and strategic capital raisings
Highly motivated with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strategic thinker and keen to work with an international team and colleagues around the world
Advanced oral and written communication skills; high levels of fluency in English is key
Willingness to stretch beyond comfort zone and challenge the existing practices.
Strong leadership skills and proven track record of partnering with peers to deliver meaningful results.
A team player; Supporting an open and inquisitive team culture
Ability to work independently and think strategically
Proficiency in Powerpoint/Excel/Word.
