Role Purpose

The TDFS team originates and executes strategic transactions for CMA clients. This includes mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions

Overview

  • This position will focus on origination and execution support for the APAC TMT(Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) sector

Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas

  • Participate in the full cycle of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal committee memoranda and client presentations
  • Conduct sophisticated financial analysis and relevant industry research
  • Development of various types of financial models in relation to debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions
  • Perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation on live transactions
  • Work closely with senior bankers and experts from other groups of the bank globally

Major Challenges

  • To stay up to date on developments in market trends, sector trends, competitor activity.
  • Ad-hoc requests with imminent deadlines and capturing urgent/emerging issues facing the business.

  • Adhere to, and be able to demonstrate adherence to, internal controls and a full understanding of Group compliance policies by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

The role holder will ideally have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Demonstrating a keen interest in TMT
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Highly skilled at project management; proven success working in a fast-paced environment and delivering against multiple work streams.
  • Understanding of deal execution – including for IPOs, domestic and cross-border M&A, and strategic capital raisings
  • Highly motivated with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strategic thinker and keen to work with an international team and colleagues around the world
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills; high levels of fluency in English is key
  • Willingness to stretch beyond comfort zone and challenge the existing practices.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven track record of partnering with peers to deliver meaningful results.
  • A team player; Supporting an open and inquisitive team culture
  • Ability to work independently and think strategically
  • Proficiency in Powerpoint/Excel/Word.
